Staff Bios

Rebecca Rose has been employed for the last twenty five years in the child care field. She received her site supervisor permit from SRJC in the 1990′s and directed Little Oaks Preschool in Petaluma. Then, after Rebecca spending time raising her two children, she went back to work directing the aftercare program at Sunridge for five years. She became involved in the preschool special ed field with SCOE and WSCUHSD while working on her preschool special ed teaching credential. Rebecca brings first-hand knowledge of preschoolers and their development to the classroom and loves working with children this age and their families. This is such an important time in a child’s development, a time that can impact a child’s love of learning and his/her success in the classroom. Brenda Keogh was born and raised in Sebastopol. Before coming to CASTLE Preschool, she was a preschool teacher at Gravenstein School District since September 2000. She has been working with children for many years, volunteering since her now adult daughters were in preschool. She continues to take Early Childhood Education classes at Santa Rosa Junior College. Terra Heyniger Briggs began working for SUSD in 2010 in the CASTLE afterschool program. By this spring she will have earned enough college units to be a fully qualified child care teacher and, in addition, is working towards an AA in Social & Behavioral Sciences. Terra loves exploring nature and doing art with the children and enjoys their curiosity and joy. [email protected]
Katy Salinas has a long and varied history working with children. She has taught gymnastics, has worked at the Sebastopol Children's Center, and was employed at a family-owned preschool. Katy is also a 7th degree black belt in the art of Kenpo Karate and has her own martial arts school in Sebastopol. In 2015, Katy graduated with an AA in Early Childhood Education. She brings this knowledge and experience along with her ability to communicate in Spanish with her to the benefit of CASTLE Preschool. She is always coming up with new and creative ways to engage the class in learning.
